hi yall, my name is lisa & im scheduled for my rny on oct 21st. im on a 3 week clear liquid diet, per my dr, & what can i say? u just gotta love broth!! i have always done crafts--my mom taught me. it was always a way to have special time w/ her. she was so good @ crocheting & knitting. (she had to stop when she got sick) im not as good as she was but thats not her fault. i loved all the barbie clothes she made for me. myself i LOVE to cross stitch!! i started when i was in middle school & eventually taught myself to do counted cross stitch b4 i entered highschool. i really like putting designs on shirts. and i love holiday patterns & funny sayings. ive started crocheting again and its so much easier since i can actually read those darn patterns. lol. ive made scarves and hats for my kids and alot of hats to donate to the local kids hospital for the cancer patients. i would love to learn to knit but right now im doubting my ability to teach myself. i would like to chat with yall bout these crafts and maybe even share patterns. mostly i have cross stitch ones but id love to have some EASY crochet ones. well this is my story, thanks for reading. and i hope to hear from yall soon. happy crafting!!! lisa

Hi Lisa- Welcome aboard! I love crafting everything... I have tons of projects started of all sorts... Crochet, Knitting (teaching myself), cross stitch, quilting, painting, etc Theres a great EASY crochet baby blanket pattern on Lion Brand Baby Yarn "Pound of Love". Its a hooded baby blanket... very cute. You only need the one ball of yarn to do a whole blanket. I did several while healing from WLS and gave them for gifts (Xmas and baby showers) and even kept one for myself (I'm due ANY day now!) Seems like this was the year everyone I knew was pregnant! If you can't find the yarn, I'm pretty sure you can find the pattern on www.lionbrand.com. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery! Janine
