to try and get some posting on this board i was wondering what projects yall are doing right now? or are u getting ready to start a project? i started a counted cross-stitch picture earlier this year and ive decided i really need to fini****! its got 4 care bears on it with a ladder and big X'S AND O'S ..... the pattern is called ''hugs & kisses''. my daughter wants to do her room in carebears so this would be perfect--if i can fini**** (im bout 1/2 way done now) id really like to make a new shirt but with me getting ready for surgery i dont want to make a shirt and then not be able to wear it very long. ive also thought bout making some more ''cancer caps'' to donate to the local kids hospital. they r so easy to make & turn out really cute. ok so lets hear from everyone-- what r YOU working on??? lisa

Hi Lisa. I'll join in. I don't know if I have posted here before even though it is one of my areas of interest. I too would like to see this site keep going. Maybe we could make that happen even if it is just the two of us! Your project sounds really cute. I'm sure it will look darling in your daughter's room. I'm really excited about a project that I am starting today. I bought some material to make a lap quilt for my sister....a surprise! I have no idea how long it will take to do because I have only made one other quilt. It has hearts and cats on it. They are appliqued on, and there are also 9-patch squares. I really can't explain it very well, but I hope it turns out. Luckily, I belong to a group of women called "Scissor Sisters." We meet the first and third Friday of the month at my friend Carol's house and work on a number of projects. We each bring what we want to work on. So far, I have knitted sweaters, and my sister embroiders tablecloths. Others quilt, crochet, etc. Some of the women are quite expert and are so nice about helping some of us novices. I'm going over to Carol's house today and cut out the quilt so I will be ready for Scissor Sisters on Friday. Wish me good luck! I think it is great that you make "cancer caps" for kids. What a wonderful way to use your gift. I'm sure it will help you pass the time until your surgery, which is almost here. Keep those hands busy, Lisa! I also hope you will let us know how you are doing afterwards. Nice "talking" with you. Peg
