Looking back, would have have the surgery?
I am new to this forum and considering the lap band..yes I am extremely nervous and excited at the same time..I feel enough is enough...my weight has been hindering me my whole life and I am so tired...I have tried every diet out there...only to gain more than i originally lost...Your post gave me some inspiration as I have been  hearing so much negative..thank you and continue to stay well.
I am looking into the lap band and I am hearing so many different stories. You seem so happy with the band. I live in the Toms RIver area and just attended a seminar and felt so positive and now I am getting nervous.  I have about 100 lbs to lose, have tried everything and I am disgusted.  I want to be able to live again, not be tired, enjoy the rest of my life. I feel the lap band is not as aggressive as the RNY and I feel somewhat positive that I am leaning in the right direction. I am apprehensive so any feedback you can give me I would appreciate.  Thanks Vrginia.
With my approaching 55th birthday coming I wish I did this much sooner in my fat life.  I am off all diabetic meds, high blood pressure meds, no more painful knees, and I am active again.  I am at my 5th month and down 73lbs.  Yes I have the apron stomache the flabby arms and the inner thigh play dough but I get compliments every day and love that I am getting healither every day.  Abosolutely I am so happy I had RNY surgery.  Tom gives the best advice, and it's important to stay positive and smile with the changes.
