Topic: Help finding a MSW in northern NJ
I am making my dreams a reality with each step I take. 
I'm receaching out to you all to see if anyone has startied to see a Therapist (MSW) for therapy and support. I have BC/BS which you have to go through a group called Magellan which I have printed out some therapists in Paramus-Hackensack-Clifton-Montclair areas, but I really am blind to their speciality. Hopefully some of you have had some success. I do go to a monthly support group, which is helpful, but I am willing to explore if a Therapist will help me get my head on the same track as my body due to the Gastric Sleeve.

Thanks everyone for all your input! Ironically, I work in Florham Park too! The surgeon that Ive been recommended to came highly recommended, but I'm hesitant because VSG seems too knew as a normal practice, even though its been around for a while. Hence, seeing if there is someone else that has performed more of these procedures.
Would you mind if I asked if anyone had any complications on getting their surgeries approved? I'm on the borderline here and also waiting to see how much of a fight they are going to put up with my insurance company... Did you find that ALS in FP was thorough in getting you through the process?

I too (three) suggest using Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons, in Florham Park. You won't find a better group of Doctors (well IMHO).

As Stella suggested, get a copy of your insurance to see what is and isn’t covered. While BCBS may cover it, your specific plan may not. There are nuances to each and every coverage.

For all you band patients out there.... the Banding Centers of America is a great option. If you've had your band in a while and have never had an AJDUSTMENT UNDER FLOUROSOCOPY it's time to make sure that band is still in the proper place and that mechanically everything looks good! The Banding Centers of America is located in Florham Park.

Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons in Florham Park do VSG surgeries and they are great. They operate in several locations including, Morristown, St. Clare's Dover, St. Peters in New Brunswick, JFK in Edison. They have a great Program and their staff is involved with the patients before, during and after... so Check them out... www.njbariatricsurgeons.com
