Thanks Tom, it is wonderful. I will absolutely let you know how things are going. It is so surreal that it is happening so quick, this whole thing was a rush job since insurance approval took so long and is only good till the end of the year.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

thank you for your information.  What is an LBL and how did the insurance cover it?

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all...and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever, and is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same. This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

As we come to the end of another year, just want to THANK YOU for making each day a joy and pleasure. The help; love and support we give each other is truly what this season is about - and we do it 365.

Have a wonderful one, and here hoping 2011 is better than 2010, but only 1/2 as good as 2012.

Topic: rec'd my approval !
Well I finally (after over a month) rec'd my ins. approval to have my skin removed.... YEA !! On Thursday night I rec'd my letter so on Friday I called the dr's office to see if they could still fit me in their calendar.. Today I went and signed all the papers got my pre-op orders and gave half the money...

So on I am having plastics on Dec 30th, I am having a Circumferential Lower Body Lift and let me tell you I am scared as all get out. But this is what I wanted so I have to suck it up and not complain about being scared. After all is said and done I still have to pay about half of the dr's fee but it is better than having to pay for the whole surgery and better than the other option of having a procedure that would be fully paid but would not look as good, lets face it this is forever so it is worth doing properly (that is what Dr. Bertha said about my bypass too, LOL!) so I am going for it.

I guess this is one way to ring in the New Year, in 2011 I will truly be a new person..

Go see the plastic surgeon just to see what he/she has to say, it is worth the consult. I was able to get insurance approval and I am having a LBL on the 30th of this month. The insurance does not cover all but it is going to cover some of the Surgeon's fee and all of the hospital and pre-op testing...

I had wanted (or thought I wanted) just a panniculectomy but found out I really would not have been thrilled with the results (he showed me pics) so it is worth the money to have what I want not just what I thought I wanted.

Good luck!

Holly, congrats and your on your way.  I'm 3 1/2 months out and love my band, I don't remember which procedure your having but you'll do great.

Yes a lot of emotions between now and then and even the morning of I was scared to death but I feel great and love my new tool.

I only had to do the liquids for 2 days but every procedure is different and I think other things come into play.

Were you at the Holiday party last night at RWJ?

Any questions we're here for you.

The liquid diet requirement is determined by your surgeon. Mine didn't require it.
