Happy Thanksgiving Everyone !!!

How fitting is it that I hit the Goal I made for myself on Thanksgivng :)

Thank You God for giving me this oppurtunity :)

When I was sitting at my highest weight of 504 I thought.... 250... that sounds like a good number.  Sounded like a number I could live with.  Especially where I was.  I have to say.... I feel Fantastic !!  I've lost 50.4% of my highest body weight!!   But... I'm gonna be greedy.  I want to drop 25 more lbs.  I'm 6'3" and I think at 225lbs I will be good.

Thank you all for listening and have a Happy Thanksgiving !!!

Today I did my first 5K run and according to my stopwatch I did it in 0:37.06. (UPDATE: the official time was 0:38.23.8. Still within the range I wanted to be in.) Not in my wildest dreams did I ever thing I could do something like this.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me. I could have never gotten to where I am without you all.

So this Thanksgiving, I hope you get a little ThanksTAKING and accept my sincere THANKS

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

Topic: RE: Has anyone had surgery from Dr. Earl Noyan out of Centra State?
Hi there. I, too, am new to all of this. I had my surgery on Sept 22nd at Robert Wood Johnson with Dr Noyan and Dr Prokrat and Sabina (nutritionist). I am now down 45 lbs in 2 mths and my severe diabetes and sleep apnea is gone. Poof!! Just like that! I have had nothing but positive experiences with each doctor, the hospital and the treatment from everyone. I didn't really have any problems that caused concern. You are going to hear positives and negatives from anyone you talk to. Each story is different in their own, even if we are all experiencing the same things. Do your homework, find a good support system/group, have someone to help you when you come home from the hospital, ask as many questions as possible even if they sound like the silliest ones. After surgery, be PATIENT, things are going to change, emotions are going to fly all over the place and you WILL have even more questions. Follow the "rules", make sure to get your liquids in and keep a journal of food AND emotions. Hope that helps a little. Feel free to ask me anything. I'd be happy to help. Good luck on your new journey!!
