need finical aid any tips where to go

I am wanting to go to nursing school since I have had my surgery and lost over 100 pounds anyone know where to start looking for finical aid

The first step is to fill out a federal application for student loans called a FASFA. You can find it online by using google. It is free, and after you fill it out, it will tell you if you qualify for free grants you do not have to repay, or if you qualify for student loans. From there is is simple, and the school you are going to go to will help you immensely. Good luck... go to fastweb.com and they will give you a long profile to fill out that will match you up with grants and schoolarships. its worth the time to get extra money. good luck. jennifer

I filled out my FASFA in November and just last week I was approved for 3 different programs for the spring semester. Although it looks like I am getting my surgery date in February and will have to put off until Fall of 05. Good Luck!!

Here is the link to FASFA: http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/index.jsp and if you go to the school website that you are thinking of applying to, they should have more resources for you to use. But be aware that you MAY have to take out a few student loans, that you must repay. Some of these nursing schools are pricey. I am attending Mercy College in Des Moines, Iowa and with Financial aid, and student loans, I am still paying $2,000 in out of pocket expenses. So chose you school wisely. Nissah The F.AT Slayer
