I have to retake A and P 2 just the class got a 69.5% and needed a %70. I got an A in lab class the lecture was taught by the head of the IU Medical Dept or something he was HARD our grade was based on 4 tests nothing else!

I am in Palmdale and work in Lancaster, JUst recently left ER and I do wound care. I am making a little over 65K. I have been a nurse as long as dirt. No this year it will be 25 years.

I also seem to have an overabundance of the larger size scrubs. I hopped on here hoping someone might want them. I still wear them but they now look like bozo's pants only bigger

I know this has been a problem for some but I haven't found it to be an issue for me. I don't drink after a meal -- at least for 30-40 minutes. The liquid tends to expand the food or "float it" and this may lead to more nausea and vomiting. If you had RNY you are already absorbing less of the nutrients that you take in. If you get sick and have to vomit -- that makes your nutrient intake even less. Just don't let the few "sips" lead to drinking a lot.

Hope your surgery went well, you would be about a month out and looking for that truck that hit you on surgery day! Best of luck with everything. I got my cpr card through "Fun CPR Training" which was very easy, fast, entertaining and informative.

Congratulations...pretty cool not fitting into clothes anymore. It's funny, before the weightloss I would look at my closet and think "NOTHING FITS!"...and now, out 6months, I'm saying the same thing, but definitely in NOT the same tone!

I've read so many contradicting topic, so thought I'd shoot it over to you nurses and get your input on it...
drinking while eating? Do or do not.
My doc never said much about the topic but read everywhere that I shouldn't drink while eating. I'm 6months out and have drank during eating the whole time...but then again, it's not a whole out DRINKING fest, just a sip or two when I feel the need while eating. Definitely not as before where I'd sip down a can of soda like nothing.
Anywho, thought I'd get your thoughts on this matter.

You're 24 an a nurse...damn girl, you rock! I'm 25 and just starting. I decided to do computer science and programming in school *** don't ask) thinking the income would satisfy the urge to "help people" and be a nurse, but suuuuure didn't. Started nursing this year and should be done in 2yrs or so....feels like a long time, but in 2yrs I'll be 27 no matter what I do. I was checking out your profile and just thought I'd say hello and check in with ya. Thanks again for your input on this nursing forum topic.
