united healthcare

i'm looking to have lab-band surgery and i have united healthcare. does anyone know if there good with approving it and how long it took. thanks Allison

Hi Allison, I switched to United Health Care Indeminty plan 1/1/06 we submitted for approval Jan 3rd and had approval in less than 10 days. I am now 4 months out with the band and down 50 lbs, GoodLuck! Kenny

Hi Allison, I have United as part of the Empire Plan(they pay the Dr visits and part of the surgery) I had the lap band procedure. I got approval in 3 weeks, first try. Good luck! Kristine

I have United and got an approval in 3 days. I had RNY on 2/22/06 and have lost 95 lbs. They have paid the whole bill.
