My Worst FEAR!!!!

Hello everyone!!! I can't wait till I can share good news with every instead of always complaining.... so today's delima WLS in 4days and I am SICK!!!!! so I don't know if I'm sick or if it just allergies but I have one heck of a cough!!! I'm not stuffed up, just post nasal and a bad cough....any suggestions. I start clear liquid diet in the AM>

Jennifer: I can appreciate the feelings, BUT call your surgeon, let him know and help you make a plan!!! It is NOT worth risking your life, the surgey will happen, even if it means waiting a few more days/week *this is about health and wellness and a new life you have waited this long!*. Better yet to notify him ahead as if you go and they don't clear you what a disappointment at that time and the longer you may have to wait (if they do need to R/S you someone can get moved into your slot then there is a slot for you ya know!) My surgery was R/S 3x (nursing shortage/OR shortage) was I uspet, frustrated and angry/sad YUP, but it happened when it was supposed to! Go into this with the UPMOST health so you get off the table! That is the goal! The risk of pneumonia postop is great don't increase that ok! HUGS to you.... Hi Jamie Thanks for the advice...luckily it is allergies and they told me to take allergy medication and I fell sooooo much better. Almost no coughing!!! This 3 days of liquid diet on the other hand what a roller coaster!!! The second day is so much better, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it!!!!! LOL Do you have any suggestions for vitamins and minerals that I should take? Thank You Jennifer

Hi, I hope you are feeling better. I am also sneezing and have a scratchy throat since last Friday and I hope its just allergies- my surgery is scheduled for next Wed, May 24th. I think it is allergies because it has not come out as a full fledged cold yet. Good luck and I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you have a speedy recovery. Ida
