To All, My surgery date is 5/23/06 and I am excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to start my new life with my beautiful wife Debbie who has lost 109 pounds since her surgery last October, my gorgeous daughter Lia, and my big man Nicky. It's time to start living again instead of avoiding life. Good Luck to you all. With All My Love, Nick Turturro

Hi Nick, First I want to wish you the best of luck on your surgery. I have confidence that all will go well for you! You and your family sound like my husband and me. My husband Steve had RNY surgery 1/9/06 and has lost over 80 pounds so far. I had lap band surgery 2 weeks after him on 1/23. So far I have lost 48 and counting. Doing this with your spouse is the most fantastic form of support. Your wife will be there to make sure you stay on the right track. Our daughter and future son-in-law make sure to be our cheer leaders! I am sure that your kids will be doing the same thing! Congratulations to your wife on her fabulous weight loss and the very best of luck to you. Let us know how you do. I am looking forward to seeing your updates. Regards, Marcia 296/248 so far/125

Hi Marcia! We're almost band sisters. I was supposed to go on the 23rd, but agreed to hold off a day because of the surgeon. And I've lost 46 since banding I lost 27 before surgery. Congrats on your loss. Another husband wife team...that's great! Kristine

Hi Kristine, It is great to meet my "Band Sister" You are really doing great! My husband and I are the best support for each other. We also are the first ones to compliment each other on our little NSV's and SV's. We are both happy that we started on this jouney together. Marcia

Hi Nick! Congratulations...I love hearing about husband and wife surgeries. I've been trying to get the hubby to take the plunge but he won't, but he's been losing weight. You are doing a wonderful thing. You took the words from my head..start living again instead of avoiding life. And you will too! Kristine
