low carb yogart (walmart has blue bunny, dannon also has one), cottage cheese, ricotta cheese (with cinn/splenda, or plain, or some lemon zest, or vanilla flavor), pureee tuna, chicken, shrimp, imitation crab w/ mauo (moisture is the key here I use magic bullet or minchopper make to a pate consistency), laughing cow makes a good soft cheese spreadable, egg beaters scrambled lightly/soft w/ american cheese in it (start w/ 2T and 1/4 slice cheese perhaps), eggs may be difficut to digest for some..., some like the stallone pudding www.netrition.com carries it, I THOUGHT it was GROSS but everyone is different, also GNC may have it? potted meats maybe as well, cheese sticks, peanutbutter on a wheatthin or 3, some allow mushy w/ crispy.Add flavorless protein to cream of wheat or hot ceral or instant mashed taters if you must I personally wish to avoid the carbs.... Here is a good link for some info! I absolutely love french vanilla (Stoneybrook brand --fat free) yougart that has been placed in the freezer for about an hour --it is like the best ice cream or smoothie. and it is high in protein delish!!! and easy to digest ! a good first food! Marian S.C.

Congrats Jennifer! For softfoods, I stuck w/ meatballs w/ tomato sauce (from the local pizza place) and eventually homemade when I got the energy. Eggs were like a gift from heaven the first time the doctor said I could have it! I had 1 large scrambled egg and that was A LOT! I couldn't do Tuna until about 3 - 4 months post op, I found that Mayo and Tuna didn't sit well with me! Asspecially the full fat!!! I switched to Hellmans light (NOT FAT FREE)! Now I eat Tuna almost every day! Also, Jello SF pudding made with Hood Carb Countdown Milk (higher in protein then regular milk). Also I love white kidney beans and I made a warm bean salad w/ tomatoes which I would be more than happy to share the recipe if you like. Oh and I made like a greek mousaka w/ eggplant and ground beef that went down very well in the beginning as well! Well good luck and feel free to ask anything of us! Ilyssa 268/160/???
