A normal upper gi barium test (aka leak test, swallow test whatever you want to call it) where you drink this nasty white chalky thick liquid that lights up once it is inside of you and they can see if there is anything wrong with the mechanical structure of the surgery(like a leak, ucler, obstruction, twist etc) usually by this test. I have taken this test a million and one times and everything looks good but I dont feel good.
He thought if I ate something(that would really bring out my symptoms), he could watch it go down on the screen and see where I am getting these symptoms and why. Instead of just drinking the liquid barium, he smeared barium all over the toast(so it could light up in my belly and he could watch it) and down it went...or rather not went.
You know fun times.
