Co-mobitities question
Hi Everybody. Is GERD considered a co-morbitity? Just wondering since my Dr. thinks I may have it.
Orders are:
No coffee
No tomato anything
No fried food
No NSAIDs (taking Mobic for an ankle problem)
She put me on Aciphex...hope it helps. My heartburn was so bad for a couple of days that I thought I was having a heart attack.
This link shows a list of co-morbities. GERD is one of them.

Yes! And a good one for that matter.(well not for you but your insurance reasons)
I have been told that Prevacid is good to take during the day and aciphex is good for symptoms that come up at night. At least this was what i was told when they thought maybe I was having some sort of acid problem. I had some acid problems before my surgery and I dont have any problems of that kind now. I had a small hiatal hernia (I still do, just saw it today on my upper gi) that was causing it but I dont have any more symptoms.
I know paying for all of these pills is annoying(you should see my pills) but you have to do what you have to do.
Feel good!!
Thanks Tavia. I figure if I'm going to go through the pain, it might as well count towards qualifying me for WLS.
Just read your post regarding the testing. Glad it's over with and they took a video so you don't have to go through that crap again. I may not post often, but I always read your posts and alway keep you in my prayers.
