Hi everyone. I posted this question to the main message board and forgot that it would be better here on the state message board. I am due for surgery in 2 1/2 weeks. I have completed the nutrition, psych, cardio, excercise and pcp check. I am waiting for a stress echo when I return from vacation (Myrtle Beach - a yearly thing). I have info that 3 days prior that I have to be on nothing but a liquid diet in order to reduce the fat content of the pancreas. Dr. Graber is doing my surgery in Utica and there has been no mention of a bowel prep (UGH!). Has anyone in this area used Dr. Graber and if so, have you had to do the bowel prep. Thanks for your help

Catherine, I had Dr Garber, so close right but I wanted to let you know that not ALL Dr's make you do that bowl prep but to make sure and just call your surgeon! He should give you some guidelines to go by before surgery. I just had to do the clear liquids the day before surgery..... I wish you all the best! Debra P

Thanks for the info. I am a control freak and I like to have all my ducks in a row and have as much background before I go. I still have another appointment and my pre-op labs to do so if there is anymore I'm sure I'll know by then. Thanks for your concern.
