i'M A LOSER NOW.............YEAH.........I DID IT!
I wanted to start off by thanking all of you for the endless emails and well wishes! They really help!
I came home on Thursday. My surgery went well. My doc said it went "kodak perfect' and I was out in just over one hour.
I have been in a lot of pain with gas and saw diaphram muscles. Since I am allergic to codeine, perkaset and darbaset, I was sent home with a low dose of morphine. The discharge nurse told me 1 every 6 hours. Well I called me surgeon today in tears and he said I should be taking 2 every 3 hours. Thats like 3x the dose! No wonder I've been in so much pain. I kept saying to my family, how am I supposed to walk and keep moving if I am frozen over in pain?
Well lomg story short, I now feel "properly medicated" to where I can function a bit!
I am getting a bit tired so I am going to update again soon, but for now, hugs and good night,
lisa
NEVER THOUGHT I'D EVER BE PROUD TO CONSIDER MYSELF A LOSER!
Hi Lisa. Congratulations
on your surgery! I had my RNY done on Monday 6/22 and was home by Wed. I had no pain at all in the hospital but have been taking the Percocet since I have been home. I am not taking any chances. Although I feel OK, sometimes after drinking water, my stomach feels so tight as if I am going to explode
. I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this.--
