Looking for a plastic surgeon in the NY area that takes GHI insurance. If anyone know of any please post. I found one but he does not take the insurance and I would have to pay him fifteen thousand dollars and this does not include hospital or anesthesia. Thanks

Thanks Stephanie for the information. I know where Brooklyn Hospital is and I will give the doctor a call. The nice thing about it is that GHI has already approved the surgery but I would have to pay the Dr out of my pocket and then they would reimburse me what they would pay a plastic surgeon for the procedure. This Dr is way too expensive. Are you happy with the results, did you have a lot of pain? Will let you know how it works out. All the best

Hi Grace, I have GHI Federal (PPO) and they paid for my BR and Abdominal Panniculectomy. Make sure you get a letter from your PCP. My BR was approved within a few days, however I had to appeal for the TT. My PS was Scot Bradley Glasberg MD; he is located on E. 74th Street in Manhattan (bet Madison & Park Aves) I don't have the complete address on hand, however his office number is 212-717-8550. His office manager is Pat. She can further assist you. His office does take GHI. Wishing you all the best. Glenda

grace, i am happy with the results, however what happened was i wanted to still remain large on top so i told him make me a double d size, and he did but he told me that the size may not work for me with the stitiches and all it may open up and of course you think it wont happen to you but it did i went back in one month later because all my stitches opened up and he had to take off alittlte more and sew it back up now i am a d cup, so trust what your surgeon things is best for you i should have, i only took my pain killers for 3 days after surgeon then i was fine , i went back to work after 2 weeks p.s he also gave me a lift for "free" wow what a difference that makes there perky now and i can finally wear underwire bras however the scars are unpleasnt, but everyone heals different good luck
