Lisa,
maybe post back what you are eating in a day and maybe we can see what might be happening.....Have you talked to your surgeon as well? I would think they would be able to lead you in this.
Take care

Lisa:
Can you walk us through a typical day in your life? You may not be doing anything 'wrong' but we wont know w/o a LOT more info!
What is your age? Starting ht/wt, current wt?
Medical comorbidities, medications.
What do you eat in a typical day (foods and quantities), fluids?
Do you drink caloric beverages?(Cream or sugar in cofee/tea, sodda milk, milk shakes, juices etc) How much PURE water do you consume in a day?
How much exercise and intensity do you do in a day (week), go to www.fitday.com for 1-3 days log all food to tell us generally how many calories, fat grams, fiber grams, protein grams and carbohydrate grams your eating.
Now some people w/ the Lapband or old VBG *although not exactly the same have similar issues at times*struggle due to soft calorie syndrome (those slider foods go down oh so much easier than the healthy proteins/veggies) so a life of crackers, pretzels, milkshakes, icecream, cookies etc is what is tolerated but the high caloric content adds up quick. Not only do people NOT lose wt they are not nutritionally healthy. Do you drink protein shakes? Take vitmains/minerals? When was your last set of full labs (CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, at least!)..
Have you seen your surgeon about this? Maybe your band is too tight? Maybe there is a complication? (remember those bands can slip, erode into stomach, etc NOT to scare yu but please rule that out!) VOMITING all the time unless it is behavioral (eating wrong foods, too much or too fast) shouldn't be a way of life... Your nutritionist? Are you bingeing or grazing all day? Food issues not addressed? Could be a million and one things, but first seeing what yur doing in a day is a place to start to work on change, gradually! HUGS!
Finally sometimes we just do not get the right tool for us. It is not uncommon for lapbanders to get a revision to a RNY or BPD/DS (just as it is not uncommon for a RNY er to get a more distal bypass or go to a more malabsorbtive surgery such as BPD?DS) I say join the Revision board http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WLSrevisionsupport/ if that is the route you are looking at! Remember the literature states lapband's average wt loss as 33-78% excess wt loss...I dont know your % EW lost but 68# may not be all you hoped for but may still be in that range....Do some lose 100% sure but there are those that are only losing the 33% as well! (ie. if you had 100# to lose then losing 33% would be 33#!)
Take Care,
Jamie

RNY is ROUX EN Y (Gastric BYPASS) a type of wt loss surgery
BPD/DS is BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION w/ DUODENAL SWITCH another surgery
proximal is amout of intestines bypassed most are proxies (75-150cm bypassed) the more malabsorbtive distals have about 100cm LEFT! (VS 400cm left w/ a proxie!) We all start w/ ~ 21 feet or 630cm of small intestines. W/ The lap band ther is no bypass and no malabsorbtion. the BPD/DS is very malabsorbtive as well...
