My C-Pap answer!!
Today I met with the anestialogist(sp) she said not to worry and to do what ever the surgeon said. ....OK ....Went to the surgeon .....He said wow you lost 31 pounds (yea for me!) You dont need to bring your c-pap in if you dont want to , because within a week or so from discharge you probably will not need it . Schedule a visit with the sleep MD for a month for possible retesting . I think im very happy with that answer !........................Kitty
Maryellen ,
Welcome to the board ! Hope you feel as welcomed here as i have been ! Well you are meeting me only 3 days before surgery! Keep me in mind for questions because it will all be fresh by next week!!!
C-pap= Continuous positive air pressure. its a machiene I wear every night because i have severe sleep apnea . I stop breathing every hour 59.9 times . I get ZERO quality of sleep I never get to the REM stage . Alot of obese people get this causing them to be very tired and un motivated ....A catch 22 . Mine is so severe that i was getting daily very bad migraines that would put me in the hospital . but after i just lost 31 pounds (pre-op) im doing a little better already ! yea!!! any way . I will be seeing you soon from the losing side!!!!,..............Kitty
