Is it true that you really can't drink with meals post surgery?
I beleive it was covered, but it is RECOMMENDED NEVER to eat/drink together, this is a way to defeat the tool, early on it may be hard/impossible anc water MAY fill youup not leaing room for much needed protein, later on it washed food out of the newly created pouch (think your new pouch to be a slow leaky drain OR a funnel) what goes thru it faster? Soup or lean protein? What keeps you full longer, ? So if you sip, bite, sip, bite you can et as much postop as preop and it doesnt matter what surgery you had you can defeat it and not lose or regain! It has been done and is still to this day. I reccomend NEVER even sipping early on this leads many to returning to drink, working on it preop is a big help! If I a heavy water drinker can do it anyone can!!!
Now as for Calcium....
Scott:
I have seen these, the price, and the calorie/carb content kept me from them really (I am a cheapo and a carbaphobe!) They have 5g carbs each correct? That for me would mean 4 a day (2,000 mg calcium) for 20 g carbs *I'd rather eat a slice of bread LOL!!!
.... BUT a good option for early postops!
Take Care,
Jamie
