OMG - Can this really be it??

THEY ARE SUBMITTING MY PAPERWORK TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY!!! YIPEE I went to the doctors office this morning for my weekly weigh in - (I lost 4 lbs btw) - and on my way out the door, his girl (who shall remain nameless - but I love her anyway) stops me and says something to the effect, let's see if we have all of your paperwork together before you leave. She looks through the file - says I just need your latest mammogram and you are good to go. Now I thought that I had another 6lbs to lose before they would submit it... She says no, you're good. So I went home, called my PCP's nurse(because I know that she has the report) and she faxed it over. Called the surgeon's office, "yep I have it, you are all set" OMG!! So now, I pray and pray and pray. Can I get you guys to help me pray? How long does approval take? - I have heard horror stories - OMG - I AM SO DARN EXCITED - there is a light at the end of this tunnel. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYBODY!!

Beth , Im doing the dance for you!!! I know how it feels . Next you get the approval and you will start "nesting" cleaning and organizing! I just got over that my surgery is on this monday ! As stated in a previous post, all insurance companies are different. My surgeon submitted my last Weds. and on Fri. they had the approval. Usually the surgeon is very good about following up with the insurance company. Good luck and pray for a speedy answer. It will come God Bless

That's great news Beth! My surgeon's office was great about handling the insurance...my approval took 3 weeks with NYSHIP, Blue Cross/United. Surely I will pray for you... Kristine

Beth: ~C~O~N~G~R~A~T~S~ For me insurance approval (3 1/2 yrs ago w/ MVP) took a phone call, same day....The BARIATRIC OFFICES USUALLY KNOW WHAT IS NEEDED FOR APPROVAL AND DO NOT USUALLY SUBMIT UNLESS THEY FEEL YOU ARE SET!
