This must be the week for surgery dates!!!!

Greetings New Yorkers!!! I just wanted to let all of you know that I got my surgery date given to me today. I will be undergoing Open RNY at St. Elizabeth's in Utica on June 29th @ 10:30 and Dr. Graniero will be doing my surgery. I must say that things have gone very well for me. I lost my required weight in a little over 2 weeks and had all of the tests done by the end of 40 days out from my initial consult. I was really hoping that I would get an earlier date, but I am thrilled to just have a date!!! I really shouldn't complain because from the date of my initial consult to the day of surgery will have been only 71 days, just over 2 months. So I really am grateful. The most exciting part of this is that, since I got such a quick surgery date, I will have almost 8 months to lose weight before I see all of my family again at my parents 50th Anniversary party in North Carolina at the end of February. I know I will be a new person on the outside and I cannot wait to put my mother's years of bickering about my weight to rest. I AM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! I'll update later! Laura

Kitty, Thanks for the info on the June board, it is great, but not as great as our awesome NY board!!! I am so happy for your upcoming surgery. I will pray for you to have a successful surgery and a quick recovery. I know the time goes fast so it'll be here for me before I know it. YIPPEE!!!! What hospital are you going to for the surgery? Laura , I love our NY board the *******so like to see the things im going thru that others are doing at the same time . This way i know im not the only crazy one! Good luck to you too. Hi Laura, I have finally been able to get on the computer ! It has been a quite a while since I have had the chance too get on it ! I know we spoke on the phone about you getting that surgery date but I still wanted to say CONGRATS ! I am so happy for you ! I know how very excited you are and how much it mean's to you to be able to have those 8 month's or so to lose that weight before your family see's you ! You will be looking awesome by then !
