Dr. Roslin's/Lenox Hill patients-question for you

Thanks all. I have asked him several times and the response is pretty much get over it without meds. Some people like me just can't deal with that kind of anxiety, and he keeps telling me that anxiety leads to pain, so it's quite confusing as to why, knowing that, he wouldn't do anything to alleviate my anxiety, you know? Just having someone tell me to calm down won't help me with the physical part of it. I am going to make another attempt to see what can be done on this front and then I am going to look into switching surgeons, I think. I like Dr.Roslin a lot, and I know he's amazing at what he does, but I just don't know if I can do the surgery thing the hard way when there are many other hospitals that do it the easy, anxiety-free-sedate you before way. My date is three weeks from today. Thanks for the words of encouragement...I guess we all need to go through this in whatever way makes us the most comfortable! -Stephanie
