What?!? Blood leaking anywhere isn't normal nor common. What surgeon told you this?
I was told this by my surgeon, who is well known in the western ny area. He is also a professer who teaches this surgery at the local university. I didnt imply that its normal for it to happen often, he told this can happen directly afterwards and it will cause nausea, which makes sense with all the cutting and re-arranging going on. None of us are doctors, and I was just trying to be helpful!

Deb,
Did she have any tests done to rule out a problem, most importantly a CT-scan and an upper GI? Did they come back ok?
Geez this is what I am talking with doctors. It's like pulling teeth.
I hope she feels better soon though.
