Something that you acomplished???
Hello everyone, i know its the weekend and everyone is probably going to be out and about. I want to know, name one thing that you have acomplished{or more if you like} since having your surgery. I know there are a few things I have acomplished that I wasnt sure possible a year ago. We need to remind ourselves of the positives...I know lots of people here are getting a little discouraged that our weight loss is slowing down and appetites are returning so we need to look at the good stuff....all that the hard work has done for us so we can stay on track!
As for me...Well lets see.....
I play with my kids outside for hours and hours and never get tired!
No pains in my joints
All of my labwork including my high cholesterol is normal{calcium was a tiny bit low but thats ok just increased my calcium intake}
I am being told i look MUCH younger these days, even told my son could pass for my boyfriend LOL..and my daughter looks like my sister....
I am wearing a size 4 jeans, something i cant even remember doing ever before..
I am returning back to work and i am loving the new outfits i have now to wear, looking forward to dressing up!
I dont live to eat,,,,i eat to live!
I am addicted to strawberries not cheesedoodles anymore...
Men are looking!!! All ages thats fun!
I fit in the seats at great adventure and im not squished in, there is actually room!
And i met lots of wonderful people here that i would have never met if it wasnt for the surgery. You are all great!
Ok i said name one thing ,,, sorry to ramble.... Its just that this surgery has brought so much back to my life i just like to yell it wherever i go.
Now its your turn,,,,come on tell everyone what you are proud of....
If i think of anything else i will add it. LOL
Have a great day.

I actually live the serenity prayer now.I now know who I am and have the confidence to say this is me take it or leave it and mean it. Still won't go into a store and shop but still looking good. I had 3 skinny days this week and am becoming comfortable in my smaller skin. I no longer feel the need to overly expose to feel sexy and just let the Me do it on its own. I take the stairs and walk almost everywhere without even realizing it. And now people don't believe I have a 17 yo All in all live is good and keeps getting better
Hi LisaMarie,
I agree completely! --we all have SO many things to feel good about.
1. I haven't fractured any bones lately. My blood pressure is normal. My arthritis is not as painful!
2. I can walk up and down stair with much less pain.
3. my bloodwork is also great.
4. I have had No major complications from my surgery (In fact if I hadn't lost eighty pounds --I wouldn't believe that I had surgery)
5. I found these boards--and lots of lovely people at my support group.
6. I can shop for clothes and actually find clothes that look nice on me.
7. I like exercise--and I wear a swimsuit and don't feel horribly embarrassed to wear one( I don't look great--Saggy skin--but I never thought that I would wear a size ten bathing suit).
Oh heck--there are so many things that I feel gratefu for that it would take a book to list them all.
You guys know how good thinner feels!
Be Blessed,
Marian S.C.
242.4/159.4/goal 125-130???
Oh boy...where to start-lol.
1) I am now down to a 20 pants, and as low as 16 top. I was a 26/28. I'm pear shaped
and moreso now than I was when I was bigger!
2) Decided I am not anyone'*****hing bag anymore. The people that love to abuse me can't call me anymore because I've changed my phone number.
.
3) With that said, my ex and I are in court, and I did start an action one week after he did(I had no idea he did) and it was something I feared for a long time, going to court. This was something that needed to be taken care of and thanks to my weight loss, I am bolder, and can move around! We're still in court, but it gets easier each time.
4) I am taking steps to try to get some intensive psychotherapy. I finally have more relief from my depression after getting on 2 meds.
5) I got some classy glasses that I always get comments on. I procrastinated on getting these things-lol. I broke the old ones when I was groggy from anesthesia
6) I was bold enough to inquire about the dance scholarship that my son will be getting.
7) I stopped drinking and smoking from my mourning my Uncle.
8) Got back on the right track spiritually.
9) I don't complain as much about my husband parking far away from store entrances.
10) I buy and wear makeup. I did not preop.
11) Even though I rarely look right in pictures, I don't feel as funny in front of a camera.
12) No knee and back problems
There's probably more
I have at least 48 pounds more to lose for a healthy BMI. I'm going for it
