Back from vacation

Hey folks, I'm back from my vacation to Florida. I had a great time and got lots of compliments. It felt so good! The weather was not great, we had rain most of the time, but that didn't put a damper on the trip. I did lots of walking and lots of running around helping a friend with a couple of parties. I was impressed by how much I was able to do, last year I never would have been able to set up a party for a hundred or so folks - decorate, bring the food, set up chairs and help the older folks getting them drinks and food throughout the evening. I was on the go from 9:00 am until close to midnight and wasn't achy or hurting. Then, the next day was a party for about 30 people, sort of the same deal, although not as long a time - only running around from about 9:00 am to 5 or so. Then the next day I went to this giant flea market and walked and walked and walked. This place is acres of vendors and booths and we saw as much as we could until it started raining. Last year I hardly saw anything of the flea market, I would walk a little bit then have to sit and rest, but this year the only thing that stopped me was the rain! It was awesome. Oh, I almost forgot the best part - for the first time EVER - I didn't need a seatbelt extender on the plane! That was a big deal for me. Hope everyone has had a great week. Hugs - Robin

Hi LisaMArie, I did have a good time. But next year I'm going earlier in the year - too hot for me down there! Maybe I'll visit Mickey next year too - I've never been, so it might be fun (especially since I'll finally be able to fit in the rides!). Hugs - Robin

Thanks Marcia, it really made me feel good to be able to help my friend so much and not be tired and hurting. I had a blast. Yes, George did miss me, although he had Mel to hang out with. George chattered to me the whole next day, I guess some of it was complaint and some of it was being pleased that I was back. I gave him some potato chips (his favorite treat) and he was quite happy again. Hugs - Robin
