The Black sheep returns!

Hi all, I am not sure what happen to my other post but I guess I put TMI in it and it disappeared. Whatever. Anyway, this is my updated news. I haven't been feeling too well but I am beyond tired of going to the ER and the only thing they do for me is giving me a sneeze of morphine(which does nothing for me), IV fluids, poke at me 79 times, and a give me a big headache. I hate paging the surgeons NP to ask to call in pain meds b/c I feel like I am being a druggy or something. Oh well. I have developed a hernia but it isn't too big and I am having another surgery soon anyway so it will go away then. There are some red flags on my blood work so I will have to work really hard on drinking my shakes most likely will have to get TPN soon. What fun. I am seeing the other surgeon in the city this friday and will show him my upper GI and tape and see what he thinks is best to do(1-take just the connection, 2-take out the whole limb and connection or 3-reversing) To be honest, I am not 100% sure of what I want to do at this point. The last thing I want to do it take another couple of trips to the OR if one option doesnt seem to work. I dunno, I have to think about it and also hear what this guy as to say. I know what my surgeon thinks is best so we will see. My new date is August 8 from August 9. Whopeee one day earlier!! I care more about having it on a tuesday(b/c the last place you want to be over the weekend is in a hospital) than having it in July. Like I said, there are red flags showing up on my blood so I have to get those taken care of before I can have a surgery anyway. I also forgot I have my husbands cousin(who is a dr, and marrying another dr...stupid Drs are everywhere I go! ) wedding, and three birthday parties for my sons friends in July so I said forget it to having the surgery in july. Dennis and the surgeon also want me to put some more weight on before I am operating on anyway, so maybe the TPN will help w/that. NEVER in a million years would I ever think I would hear someone tell me to try to get my weight to freakin 110!! The surgeon said 120 would be even better but at least 110. Lord have mercy! Anyway, I hope everyone is feeling good and I am sorry I have not been around to respond to others posts but please know I think about you guys a lot and keep you all in my prayers! Well Tavia, August 8 is better than the 9th...It stinks that you still feel icky, but it's nice to know that every day that passes is one day closer to surgery and the promise of feeling better. TPN will definitely help you feel stronger, although I'm not sure about putting weight on...Is that what Dr Gellman is hoping? Interested to hear the other guy's perspective. Even if it's just confirming what you already know, it's nice to have it reinforced. Sending big lovin' hugs your way. Amy
