well I had my 8 day post op and everything went super. On the surgeons scale I lost a total of 24 pounds. I took that number with a grain of salt because the week before at my weigh in I had on pants my wallet cell phone etc. At the post op I was very fashionably dressed in reebok shorts and a Tee shirt no pockets thus no phone wallet keys etc. That being said I would still estimate my weight loss at a minimum of 15 - 18 lbs which is still amazing. I feel great and have started on pureed foods. Don't like yogurts or cheese so my staples have been a scrambled egg with some refried beans on top. Luckily this is on of my favorite dishes. The only difference is now I am eating out of my sons old baby cereal bowl. My other staple is my moms homemade chicken soup lots of veggies and throw it in the food processor. Other than that I really don't know what else to eat. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Take care and enjoy this beautiful weather sitting pool side right now havinga protein shake watching my son and his friends play in the pool.

Hey Pal, Hmmmmmmmmmmm....."sitting pool side right now havinga protein shake watching my son and his friends play in the pool." Sure sounds like you have the life!!! Glad to hear things are going well. Sorry you don't like cheese and yogurt. They are two of my staples, still, almost 11 months out! Have you tried Activa yogurt? It is really good. And who knows, maybe your tastes have changed. YOu could try Progresso Lentil soup, and maybe you still might need to puree that, but maybe not. I add shredded cheddar to mine for extra protein, and to complete the protein. Deb mentioned tuna...........I had trouble with that early out. It was my first really bad dumping syndrom, and it took me a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnng time to eat it again. But, everyone is different. Email me when you get the chance. It sounds like you are doing great. Enjoy the time home. S
