feeling down
Hey all,
I am feeling a bit down today. I have gotten away from the exercising I was doing and now tryin to get back on track. I got out and walked for 5 minutes today, but then I wanted to get some oreos. I went to the little store but resisted the oreos, so that is a small victory.
I have been getting really bad headaches so I went to the ER. Had a headache like that for 2 weeks straight. The ER doc told me to get a CT scan done so the next day I did that. THen went to PCP and the CT scan came back normal, but head still hurting so she ordered an MRI. I will get the results tomorrow. These headaches have been coming for a few years now, but never sought help for them before now. Anyways, I went to have the MRI done last thursday and it was pretty hard. I have issues when it comes to medical tests and hospitals. I know that sounds nuts seeins how I'm wantiing to have the gastric bypass surgery. I just have alot of fear surrounding hospitals, doctors and needles. But I am serious about having the surgery and being a loser. Maybe yous could send some prayers this way when you think about it.
I went for the sleep study last thursday night also. That was hard for me too but I did it. I'm not sure what it showed yet. I guess Dr. Hixson will tell me when I see him on the 13th.
So my main focus needs to be getting the exercise I need and eating the right things. I would like to see that I've lost 3 more lbs, at least, when I go on the 13th. The last time I went I lost 1 lb. It is really hard.

HEY DEBBY!
wanted to send hugs your way!
SORRY about the horrible headaches! HOPE all is fine there.
GLAD you got your sleep study done
and i know its hard to loose pre op weight.
MY surgeon required me to loose 25 lbs!
I did it but its not easy, if it was i guess i wouldnt
have needed the surgery. BUT i wanted the surgery
more and did it! AND it was the best thing
i could have done.

Debby,
I will be sending prayers your way.It is so hard, you are on the right path.My first consult is Thurs. Right now I feel out of control myself. But each passing day is a step closer to your surgery and a changed life. I consider you turning down those Oreo's a huge success and walking 5 minutes is more then I did so good for you. No matter how small you need to give yourself more credit for what you are accomplishing.
I hope your headaches go away.Stress is probably bringing it on.So look at what you accomplish each day and you will be happy.I'm proud of what you are doing.Keep up the good work.
Tina
