New York External Appeals?

I was wondering has anyone done an external appeal in NY and had it overturned to be approved? I have a BMI of 38 and I have hypertension,arthritis,hernia,Acid reflux, high tri's and cholestral and I was still denied but has anyone had a similar case and got it overturned by the state? Thanks for your help!!!!!

My DH and I both had our cases overturned by the state. My BMI was over 50, hypertension, arthritis, severe breathing problems & sleep apmea. My DH's BMI was in the 40's with asthma, severe leg swelling and circulatiuon problems, spinal stenosis. Your BMI is lower than our's but you certainly have the comorbidities. You just need it to be deemed medically necessarry. The state saved my life! Marcia 296/ 240.4 so far/125
