D-Day JULY 10 w/ Dr. Garber

Hey all...I am new to this group. I live in Medford, Long Island and Dr. Garber is my surgeon. I am sooooooooo nervous and worried. I do think Dr. Garber is the best so far. I am nervous about the hopital stay and how I will feel. I hope I get some sleep. Anyway, anyone who has had Dr. Garber in the last year ..I would love to hear from you about your experiences. Hi Barbara I had my surgery with Dr. Garber 10/05 and he is wonderful. I had a BMI of 61 and he was still able to do the Lap. I live in Mount Sinai if you like you can email me @ [email protected]. Good Luck and you are in great hands. Lisa

Hi Barbara, You will do just fine with Dr. Garber. His staff and the staff at Mercy are excellent! You will have to get up and walk and sip your water. The nursing care is very competent and understanding. Every surgery makes one nervous. My best recommendation is to dwell on the results and not the process...think about how successful everything will be. Positive thoughts, lots of prayers and a good support network work best!.
