In the final stage... waiting for insurance approval. YIPEE!!!!

Well after Dr. Pearlstein's office was unable to perform I thought for sure I wouldn't be doing this for months but here we are. Had my appt with the new surgeon, Dr. Fiallo in Springfield, MA today and they are submitting for approval. I should know in about 3 weeks. So many emotions, excited, scared, nervous, I was literally crying leaving his office, the staff and my fiance just were not sure what to do with all that, lol. The staff tells me I should have a surgery date at the end of August maybe early September (the other surgeon's wife is pregnant and due end of August and they only do the RNY as a team). That is assuming the insurance covers this, which when I call they give me every indication there should be no problem... I guess we'll see... I did find out though I have a gall stone and they will be removing my gall bladder at the same time as the RNY... glad I had the ultrasound! Funny, I had no idea that pain was my gallbladder, I just assumed it was heart burn or a muscle or something! Anyhow thanks for all the well wishes, and by fall I should be on the side of all the rest of you LOSERS! (I mean that in the most positive way!) Renee
