I am scheduled to go for my two month post check up on Thursday, went to have my blood drawn last Thursday and Friday and they cannont get any. I am going to try again Monday morning. Any suggestions from folks as to what I should do. I have heard that really hydrating yourself helps as we know though we can only drink so much water at a time. They had this same problem pre-op and getting a line for the IV. I know it is imperative to have these labs done as this is the first time they will be checking my levels. On a brighter side I am down 34 pounds to 179.

WTG on the weight loss. And yes, I always have to drink a lot before getting my blood drawn. Usually they have trouble getting the right spot from me. The phlebotomist will sometimes have me wash with warm water too. Kristine

I'd get in as much water as I could, have them HOT PACK your arm for 15 min to get the veins to pop out! Are you getting in 64 oz water a day???? make sure 3 days ahead u get at least this if not more!
