Does anyone walk in the Central Park area (metro NYC)?
Hi again susie, I started jogging to change up my cardio and so far I am doing very well with it. First time out I did a 13:30 mile and now I have it down to 10:29. I was so pleased that I could actually complete a mile without stopping and now that I am getting close to a 10 minute mile I am thrilled. The past month I've been in Manhattan once a week and so far I managed only a couple of visits to CP for a jog. For now, I think I will stick to the running as it feels great and the weight is starting to come off a bit quicker. Best of luck to you on your walking!

Kenny - that is AMAZING!!! 13:30 mile... Wholly molly! I remember going through a phase when I was 19 - still relatively obese - I wanted to join the navy- so I lost about 50 lbs exercising 6 days a week and starving myself - well, all in all I was required to do a 15 minute mile, and I couldn't. I commend you Kenny for this accomplishment. Some of us who are in our beginning stages of WLS can only daydream of being able to run, and support our weight with every step. Since I work nights (4pm -12am what we call the Asian shift at work), I will only be able to walk on Saturdays - however I will email you and Alyssa to see if you guys want to meet up. I'm so impressed with the response regarding my query on the message board. It shows we are quite supportive of each other, and very resourceful people!
Thanks a buch everyone - and God Speed to you Kenny!
