ct-scan results

I gave in and went to get the ct-scan done yesturday afternoon. It seems I have fluid coming up from the jejunal connection(y connection) into my roux limb and they dont see a mechanical obstruction but the same old functional one. He said it looks like the connection and limb lost most of its paralysis so drinking all of those weight gainer shakes was causing bile to back up into my limb from the connection. They put the line in me and now I'm gettting TPN. blah!! He said what they can do now is admit me to get a NG tube placed to do relieve the fluid that is stuck. No thanks, I would rather barf it up. As long as I dont put anything in my mouth, it wont back up. He said there is no way anyone would do a surgery on me now and to hang in there until they see how much the TPN stablizes everything.

Thanks Deb, The positive thing that came out of this is (sorry it this is TMI) but I made the biggest poopy when I came back from the hospital this morning. It must have been from all of those IV fluids I guess pushed everything out! I am beyond tired but I cant go to sleep b/c I have crap to do and have to pick up my son in two hours. Hopefully the tpn will do the trick but I feel like an idiot walking around with a plug in me, oh well. Talk soon!

Yes! My book is going to be called, "All of these..." b/c that is what my surgeon says that to me all the time to describe my situation. Too funny. No more Aug. 9, I asked him to put me in for August 8. His coordinator was telling me no no and no but a call to him and its a go, yay. I dont want to stay over the weekend in the hospital, yuck. That is the last place you want to go on a weekend! Those in training poopy heads are the worst to deal w/. feel good you!
