Is something wrong with me??

I'm having my surgery August 4th and I feel nothing. Not happy, scared or nothing. The first time I applied I was happier then a pig in mud. But was turned down for 3 lousy lbs. SOOOOOOOOO of course I started gaining weight on purpose.........then in the meantime I got a rider to my insurance company (BC/BS) that they no longer cover Weight Surgery only if you have co-morbitites, (spelling?) which describes me to a tee. I just can't get worked up about it..........Nancy.

There is nothing wrong with you...Perhaps you are just afraid to believe.....It was/is the best thing I could have done. Who is your surgeon? Good luck and perhaps the excitement will come as it gets closer.... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Hi Chris, Thanks for replying.............my surgeon is Doctor Graber. I have to have my lab work done and clearence from my PCP then I'm done................I've never been to so many doctors in my life. Each time I went to a new doctor they sent me for more tests.......probably because I'm 63yrs old......The worst one was the Nulcear Stress test. Thanks again, Nancy

Your feelings are normal. Everyone deals with anxiety and emotions differently. It will hit you eventually and when it does its going to be a rollercoaster of emotions. Good luck and keep us updated. LisaMarie

I had Dr Graber also, I did not get my approval until 2 days before my surgery. I tell you that was hard. I did not want to get excited not knowing if it could even happen. Betty Jo
