Hi gang, I am a scarce poster here i mostly hang around the mens "locker room" but i have a question for anyone that has had Dr Posner here in Buffalo perform their surgery. I am having mine on AUgust 1st, and am basically looking for your experiences with him. He seems like a very professional and kind man so im somewhat at ease, but it is amajor surgery and i am terrified as is my family. So any news wether good or bad please chime in. Thanks!-Jason

Hi Jason...I didn't have Dr. Posner but I did have open RNY done by Dr.Dibenadetto in Lockport. The surgery for me was the best thing I could have done for myself. I have lost a total of 99 pounds as of this morning and I feel wonderful. I know several people who have had Dr. Posner and they all have positive experiences with him. My family doctor recommended Posner to me but I ended up going with Dr. D because he could see me sooner. Good luck with your surgery.... ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Jason I wish I could help you and I do hope Dr.Posners clients will contact you....Try calling Dr.Posners office to see if they have someone willing to talk to you. All I can say is have trust in your doctor and know you are doing the right thing. You can be scared...that is a normal feeling.....the what ifs are always going to be there. What if you back out of surgery and the next day you get struck by lightening or what if you stay at your weight and never gain confidence, never lose a pound or never are happy like you deserve to be. I was very worried that what if I died on the table...how fair would that be to my children? Would they hate me ect...I just had to learn to let go and know if something happened then it was meant to be...As far as the pain goes there is pain but it is so worth it in the end... And we ladies have the same tube put in, it just does not go as far for us. Good luck and trust that you made the right decision! ~~hugs and well wishes~~ Chris

Hi Jason: I just had surgery at Buff General with Dr. Forbes. The whole staff is wonderful and very nice. The process was very fast and so far very smooth for me. I can give you more details if you want via email. Feel free. Don't worry, it's not that bad.
