I have a date!

September 7th my new life starts! I know it's going to be hard and in a lot of ways I keep thinking, ya know many people are so much sicker then I am, should I really do this, this is just because of arthritis and GERD for me, not diabetes, sleep apnea or high blood pressure like so many. I know it's the right thing, I'll be stronger, healthier, less pain, more active. I'll feel better about myself, I guess it's just fear of the pain those first few weeks and having to relearn what foods my body can handle with my new pouch. Good thing is I've managed to lose 12 lbs so I'm on the road! Thanks for all the support folks, I can't wait to start losing. I just keep thinking by Christmas this year I could lose 40lbs and by my birthday in April... maybe even 100lbs, I guess we'll see if my body loses as quick as all of you seemed to. Talk to you soon, Renee

Renee, Congrats hun That is great and you will do fine. Just take one day at a time and deal with it as it comes. I have learned that with this surgery, you have to take one day at a time! You will feel so much better once you lose your weight...WOW I can not believe how much better I feel. I know this is a life long change but I can do this for ME now. Well Sept 7th will be here before you know it..... Congrats on the weight loss so far. Debra P
