Hi There....I had Lap band surgery last August 30 th. Until yesterday I had never felt the effects of the surgery. I had 2 previous fills with about 4cc's in a big 10cc band. I even put some weight back on. To nobody's fault but my own, I did not go back or call my Surgeon for month's until last week. He sent me for a fill yesterday and II was told that 6cc's were put in. The Doctor thought it might be a little tight, but I drank a few sips of that white crap and it seemed to go down o.k. But sinse last night, I noticed that I can hardly dring a lot of fluids....just small sips as I feel it coming up a lillte and have that bloated feeling. I am wondering if I should feel this way or is thee band a little too tight now. I cannot have any solid food until tomorrow (Sat). Please give me some insight. Am I just feeling the effects of the band for the first time?????? Thanks!! Mak G.

Hi Mark, I think you should call your surgeon and tell him how you are feeling. You have to drink to stay hydrated and it sounds like you are a little too tight. Good Luck, Marcia

I am not a lap bander but not bieng able to drink fluids is of grave conern to me. I'd call my surgeon or whoever is on call! If you cannot get down 64 oz a day Dehydration can be very dangerous!!!!!!!!! Jamie
