Just beginning my journey

Hi all. I think it's about time I piped up and said hello and introduced myself. I have posted a couple times but have been reading incessantly for the last couple of months. I have done research casually for a year but began intense research this summer. I attended 2 WLS support group meetings this week (Hi Jaimie! ) and now have decided that I definitely wish to go forward. I called Dr. Singh's office today and they are sending me the packet to attend the introductory session at Albany Med. If all goes well, I am looking at perhaps having the surgery next summer. My husband and I live in Florida from October through April and we will be back up here in the Capital District some time in May. I grew up here and this is where the majority of my friends and family are. I also have a good friend (HI MARY ) who had WLS by Dr. Singh 18 months ago and who has been and I'm sure will continue to be a wonderful source of love and support. She and her husband live across the street from us here and they just bought a home in our neighborhood in Florida. She undoubtedly will attend meetings with me down there during the Winter months. PLUS... Mary has offered to be my !!! I am looking forward to my journey and meeting more of you both online and in person at the meetings. I attended a meeting in Saratoga and hope to attend a few more in Albany before I head South.Unfortunately it seems Saratoga won't be meeting again until after I leave.
