Hi all My First post here to say HELLO NY " LOSING" TEAM hehehehe

I am almost done with all the pre op testing Only Endoscopy left to do on Monday and first follow up after consult with Dr Vohra on the 26th .. dreaming of being thin again after many years Hoping to be able to set a date then WOW I actually enjoyed all these tests at "42" years young its almost what my regular Dr wanted anyway hehehehe... I am anxious to see if GHI PPO is gonna give me the head ache I have heard about for approval ANY CLUE ??????????from anyone here on how that may go????????? I am hoping for October date for surgery I am thrilled at the things I have been reading on here for quite a while now and cant wait to join the losing side... YOU ALL HAVE BEEN A SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE AND INSPIRATION TO ME WHETHER YOU ALL REALIZE IT OR NOT as I am sure many feel ... THERE ARE MANY OF US LURKERS *****AD AND DONT POST MUCH ON HERE DUE TO lack of time work and life in general ... NOT OUT OF NOT WANTING TO keep up all the positive for all of us out here Thanks Fern

Hey there. I have GHI insurance........not sure if it is PPO though. My surgeon submitted my papers on a Wednesday Afternoon, and by Friday, I had a phone call telling me I was approved. The official letter took longer, but I called them and finally got them to fax a copy to my surgeon as I did not want to lose my date. Good luck to you! Did you have to do a 6 month history of weigh ins? S

Fern, First off I want to say welcome ~hugs~ I had GHI when I had surgery and the approval came rather quick once everything was in but they do require that 6 month Dr sup weight loss thing, do you have that already? With GHI all I can say is stay on top of them once it is sent in. Please keep us posted.....I wish you all the best hun Debra P

Hey There Thank YOU BOTH for the warm welcome OK I have 6 months of dieting and weighing signed by my main doc in a chart format letter every two weeks since January 06 reviewed and signed so I hope thats what they mean I would hate to have all the pre op stuff done and now have to ***weight/wait*** lol ....6 more months for this I HOPE I'LL KNOW BETTER ON THE 23RD Dr. Vohras staff is amazing they will know how to help me I am sure .. 5'8 @ 251 cholesterol over 300 god help me I wanna get this weight off my shoulders and body ... Sounds like you are right on track with your letter from your doc. Now for images............look to the right of where you post. You will see them, along with what you have to type in to work. Now, go take a and relax. Keep us posted on your news. S
