Finally Approved!!!!

Wow, Those who saw me post in here before or sent me emails knows what I've been through, and I have to admit it was hell, , but I didn't give up...2 years into this and I finally got approved, my surgeons office call me while I was driving and told me the great news, it was an emotional moment for me, I am not sure, but I think I hit someone today during this call ... Well next week it will all begin for me with the visit to the doctors office, he is going vacation next week til labor day, so sometime in Sept I will be on the losing side. I want to thank you all for your encouraging stories and support no one knows how much we want this but us... God Bless Melvina P.S. recently I was Hospitalize for pulmonary embolism, I know take blood thinners (coumidin), has anyone had this problem and and there surgery has been delayed?

That is great news!!! I just can't understand why you have been waiting for two years. I went to the hospital for the first time July 31,2006. I met my primary nurse, nutrtionist and physical therapist. I am on the South Beach diet up till I have surgery and an exercise prgram. I return to the nutrionist on Sept. 5,2006 for my followup on the diet. My appointment to meet the Dr. is October 5,2006 to go over all the tests that were needed to get to her by this appointment date and then to schedule for a surgery date; which I was told by the nurse it will happen anywheres between November and December. In the mean time, I have been doing much reading on the surgery and diet. I hear my Dr. is strict about loosing before surgery on the South Beach diet. so I am sticking to my guns. I have to write in a diet jourmal as well as an excercise journal. I can't skip one day!!!! Please share with me your journey and good luck to you!!!!
