Hi all, I am more of a lurker than contributer but thought I'd cash in on this one. I work for Pathways Inc, an agency that serves developmentally disabled adults. I am a QMRP/Psychology Coordinator. In essence, I oversee programming in the residential homes to ensure we are "up to code" and I write behavioral plans and oversee psychological services. I love what I do. I've done this work for over 20 years. Anyone know how to get rid of the dorky picture that is up?? I hate it. It doesn't even look like me! Take Care all, Terri

I am a HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Manager. I manage/maintain/update our HR Oracle system. I also maintain/develop our HR portal and newsletter. I actually get involved in a lot of other things becauce my title also includes that catch all phase "Special Projects" It's great, I don't have much opportunity to be bored as there is always something new going on. I have been an Administrative Assistant at a Lobbying Firm for 17 years. I am also a Licensed Cosmetologist but only do friends and family.... Once I have my surgery done, I may take a refresher course and work part-time in a salon. I miss doing hair and really enjoyed it...but the money and benefits are MUCH better in my current position. Professional psycho??? Just kidding I have college credits, but I never did anything with them. I was a certified nursing assistant, and a home health aide for years. I attempted nursing school, did really well, but I had to drop out from the stress of being a single mom at the time. My last position was working for an inventory company going from store to store with handheld machines and counting items. I liked it because it was flexible and I could work around my husband's hours. I liked the socialization of getting out too as I made great friends with people from that job and still keep in touch with a few. Kristine

Great Post! I am currently a Complex Direcctor at a University. Basically I supervise a residential complex for students of the univeristy. I have a student staff, and two professional staff members under my supervision. So basically I run an apartment complex on the campus and deal with roommate issues, facilitites management and anything else that needs my attention. I work about 12-14 hours a day and I am required to be available for any problems 24 hours a day. Currently I am job searching in the New York City area, so if anyone has any suggestions, please contact me. I know that I have a great many transferable skills!!! Erica

WOW! Lots of Nurses having this done! Yahoo, me too! I'm a Recovery Room Nurse now but worked Surgical for 10years. Murphy's Law(I have found) seems to be that Nurse's or Nurse's family members tend to have post-op complications more often then not. This gives me hope that all will go well. Although I haven't told anyone that I am a nurse. You know how all the other Nurse's will treat you once they know you are a nurse. Come on - don't deny it, we all do it!(Oh Mr. So & So's daughter is a nurse so .......) HaHa! I'm coming from Canada to Rochester to have surgery by Dr. O'Malley. Hopefully late October or early Nov. I will find out in a few weeks I don't post alot but enjoy reading all your posts. Lisa Marie you seem like a really fun chick and I'm sure we could get into a lot of trouble if we were to hang out for a liitle while! Maybe someday? Tammy*

JUst thought I might jump in, this was an interesting post.,I own a pet grooming salon.I recently moved my shop of 6 years down the street to a nicer location and remodeled and now I have the shop of my dreams. I love it and I love what I do.I look forward to being in better shape so I can handle things even better than I do now. I have wonderful employees that help me a great deal and seem to really understand my current condition, but I want to feel better. I have gained so much I feel worse than when I was 9 mo.s pregnant!
