Hello All, I thought we might start posting our goals for the week on Sat or Sun to help us stay on track with things we want to work on? I will start and we will see if others find this helpful or not. Maybe we can list 1-3 goals at a time to work on? My goals for this week are: 1. Eating for good health 2. Making a point to get exercise 3X or more within the week OK I think 2 will work for me this week. I hope you all are having a great weekend! Debra P

Hi Sugar Girl! 1) This week i'd like to get in all my proteins and liquids...this is a problem for me as i no longer have the urge to eat or drink. 2) I'd like to exercise with my kids even if it's just a walk around the block 3) I'm going to a picnic next week and i'd like to bring healthy foods for my family even though i know that alot of hte other food there will be unhealthy. Hugs, ANDI

My main goal is to dump all of the carbs in the cabinets that I have received in the past 3 weeks including cornbread and cookies and substituting a piece of fruit instead. Getting back to work and being on time - I've been sleeping late and napping as well; this will be difficult but it will pass the time between now and Feb 1 when I retire Drinking more water & taking in all of the proteins needed each day. Great idea, Deb. My goals for this week are: 1) Water, water and more water; I am finding that to be very difficult, probably the hardest part post-op 2) Start taking walks. I'm not cleared to exercise yet but walking is okay...and I have no excuses 3) Pay my bills!!! -Karen

along the lines of water have you tried distilled water? I found it so much easier to get down the tap or spring water immediately after surgery. Something about tap and spring that makes it harder on the new post op stomach. Just figured I'd shoot that out there incase you wanted to give it a try. Scott PS walmart sells distilled water for about 60 cents a gallon by me.
