You are quite welcome.
Thanks for the prayers, they certainly need them. I think they feel forgotten and like a number not a person anymore.
As a former wife of a USArmy Ranger....I understand....my x was critically injured in Oct. of 1993, and it is scary, not just for the family that is back here wondering, but also for our soldiers who don't really know what is coming their way next, and what will be asked of them. Sleep is usually not an option, and when they do sleep they never allow themselves to get to deep as they have to be ready to spring into action..I will keep him in my prayers as well as his family...thank you for addressing a sensitive, but very important topic.

It's like I worry every second about him and I am not even his wife! He is just an old friend I grew up with.
He says he hardly sleeps but when he does he gets nightmares or jumps out of bed so quickly he bangs his head.
Yes I know its a sensitive topic but everyone is just so supportive around here. This guys means alot to me and my family so it would mean a ton to send him good vibes and well wishes that he gets home soon and safely!

Tavia,
I totally agree. When I first heard we were going to invade Iraq I thought somebody was joking with me. Though Saddam Hussein was a ******* of epic proportions he quelled the tribal infighting that is eons old in Iraq. Bad good or otherwise he kept it at bay. All we have succeeded in doing there is rehashing a shiite sunni war, destablizing the whole region, and opening a pandoras box that we will never be able to shut now. My brother went to Iraq and was sent home to a non combat related injury. My other brother wants to be Army full time, and if this stretches on he will most likely be headed there after college. It is a sad sad time for our country, it is OUR vietnam. It is an unwinnable war, and pride, greed and politicians who will never set foot in Iraq unless under armed and heavy security, will propogate this as long as we keep electing them I pray for your friend and all the others there. A boy I grew up with was shot in the sholder after his 3rd tour one in afghanistan 2 in Iraq he is home now on permanent disability. He has said what a mess it is there and how we won't get out of there on the "winning" side. Every day we are there dumping millions and trillions of dollars while new orleans rots. I lost my home last year in a flood also here in upstate NY and know so many who lost their homes, and we have whole towns here that are ghost towns now and we waste lives and money in Iraq. So many wasted lives, it really makes me so sad. We need those men and women home, a full pullout at this point wouldn't make a difference. There will never be stablility there again. Prayers and safe thoughts are sent to your friend. Sorry to rant, Joan
