Kickboxing

I have to come up with a schedule now, I am still doing the treadmill Mon, Wed and Fri at home in the am because that works for me and I really enjoy it so I am thinking of doing Tue (Kickboxing) and Thur (weight training) but I am not sure if that will be enough.
Any comments would be great.
I also have to go to the cardio Dr at lunch, having some "flutters" in my chest and I know from the last time I went to my PCP for this (5 years ago) I had to wear a halter monitor and we found that I have extra heart beats but now that I wear a pulse monitor it bothers me because when I have that fluttering feeling it does not show a beat of that little heart on my monitor so I just want to have it checked again! Seems to only happen when I eat something or have something in my pouch, kind of weird!
Well you all have a great day!

I would like to take something like that for self defense but I am like you, I would not like taking it that far. I would not like to fight another unless I had to for self defense.
I can not wait until next Tues so I can take the class again... on 5/24/07 3:18 am - MT

Great to hear you found your calling in kick boxing. Kick boxing is a great way to keep in shape. The treadmill workouts are great to but how about changing on of the treadmill days to a spinning class (if you have them at your gym) or rollerblading outdoors. It breaks up the treadmill bordem. I try to vary my cardio workouts. At first I was doing the stairmaster everyday for 30 minutes. Now its getting real boring. So I try to switch it up. Weight training is important. I lost lots of inches doing my own weight training with the dumbells. I started with five pounds doing shoulders, chest, back and biceps. I'm up to 12 pounds. I went from a 40DD to a 32D. The machines are good to but I think the weights you get a better workout. Go luck in your excercise routine. Regards Jennifer
