metabolic tested

since my metabolism is slow my pcp put me on a 1200 calorie diet and 40 min exercise 4times a week. I started weigh****chers on 5/14 i just weighted my self i lost 5 lbs it a start!! cheri

Hello hun, I had mine tested after surgery by my surgeon, he has that machine in his office. It was kinf of cool but I was not really told how it really worked  Imagine that....  I think mine as on the slow side of normal and the calories for me to lose weight sounded kind of high, as that is what I am taking in now and NOT losing.  I think I might go back and let them do that again.  I wish you all the best hun and keep us posted!

hello  your the first person to know waht i'm talking about, my calories to lose weight was 1000 daily my pcp said it was to low so he added 200. however i'm not counting calories as i said before i'm doing weigh****cher flex points system i've been on it for a week and have lost 5lbs so far. cheri 

Wow the 5 lbs sounds good to me and that sounds right on target   Well is there another surgeon that you would think about moving forward with? Maybe interviewing another might be a good thing, but I know starting over with another  one is a hard thing. Keep us posted hun 

OH wait, this was your PCP that said he would not clear you, correct?...... Oh my, now just find another PCP to clear you for surgery? I am not sure if that is easy to do but it is worth a shot if you are not going to get the OK after ALL of this..... Grrrrr......

MY DOCTOR DID TELL ME TO SHOW MY SURGEON THE TEST RESULTS. I'LL WAIT TO SEE WHAT MY SURGEON SAYS. I 'AM HAPPY WITH MY PCP THOUGH, I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH HIM. CHERI

I had that test done but it had no bearing on whether I was to have surgery or not. Hmmm. I don't know about this guy.(PCP) Unless you absolutely love him, maybe it would be better to find someone else. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH HIM . HOWEVER , I DID WONDER WHY AFTER I COMPLETED ALL MY CONSULTATION, ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAVE TO TAKE THIS TEST? WHEN HE FIRST KNEW I WANTED TO HAVE THE SURGERY , HE DID'NT TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT HAVING THIS TEST DONE. HOWEVER , HE DID TELL ME TO SHOW THE RESULTS TO MY SURGEON. CHERI
