Endoscopy results

Good morning everyone. I had my endoscopy yesterday.  That was alot easier than I thought it would be.   Luckily, no polyps, no cancer or anything like that.  He did find scarring from an old ulcer that has since healed (who knew?) and inflammation due to gastritis.  I had gastritis years ago, and seems it never really went away.  I'll be on Prevacid for a bit, but what's another pill in my daily regimen. He took a biopsy of the inflammation.  He said it was probably just from the gastritis, but he wanted to make sure.  Better to be safe than sorry.  If all is good, I am cleared by him for surgery. All of this is getting me closer to surgery (and closer to my civil union)

Awesome! Another step closer to being a Loser! I think they have to take a biopsy to screen for H. Pylori infection. Keep us updated! hugs, Karen

That's exactly what he said he is testing for!  Thanks for all the encouragement Karen.  You guys keep me going on this long and winding road.

WOOWOO!!!  Great news!  I had an endoscopy done about 6 years ago...talk about out of it!  Not sure what they shot me up with, but it felt pretty good!  LOL  They determined I have a Hiatle hernia, due to being overweight!

Did they knock you out completely when you had yours done?  They gave me the IV and said "Nite Nite". 

 

 

Nope!  Just loopy loop meds!  I was awake!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Rachelle, YEAH yet another step closer!  I am glad to hear all went well and you should be getting your OK soon then. I remember that awesome nervous and excited feelings......... Keep us posted on the biopsy but as he said, I am sure all looks good!

I'm getting more nervous and more excited with each step.  Before you know it, I'll be on the loser's bench with the rest of you.  Save me a big spot on that bench, would ya?
