Lap Banded on the 5th!
on 7/6/07 10:51 pm, edited 7/7/07 10:14 pm - Middletown, NY
I got home from the hospital yesterday, and was banded on the 5th. WOOO HOOO!!! I've been waiting so long for this and I finally have made it!!
As I expected I was FREEZING
in the recovery room, but able to rest a lot - they put lots of warm blankets on me. The evening of the 5th was rough because of the shoulder/gas pain. I must have walked about 30 laps around the hospital hallway and it really helped - I was able to get some good burps in
.
It was really good to get home yesterday. Each day I feel a little better. I look forward to being able to sleep comfortably on my side/stomach - it's hard for me to sleep flat on my back.
Thanks to all of you for all the excellent postings and advice - it's so amazing to be able to read everyone else's experiences and learn from each other.
It hit me yesterday - on 7/7/07 that 7 has always been my lucky number and I think it was meant to be that I was banded in 7/07!
