Hi,
How much have you lost? I looked at your profile and it seems that yoou lost about 45 pounds???
It so, that averages out to 11.25 pounds per month!!!
My Surgeon and Nutritionist said to expect 8-14 pounds per months with an average of 10, so you are ahead, kiddo!!!
Plateaus SUCK %!&@^& !!!! But they happen...and then all of the sudden...woooosh; the scale drops.
May I ask what you eat in an average day? Try to be specific when you answer...including any "snacks" even if it's something you grab 2 of while feeding the kids; those things do add up.
Again: you are doing well based on a 45 pound weight loss! Hang in there!
Hugs,
Karen

Our bodies sometimes need time to catch up to our weight loss and making sure you are getting in ALL your water and protein really does help. Also the exercising helps a great deal. If you are doing all the right things then just relax and let your body catch up to the weight loss which I would say is just awesome~!!! CONGRATS!
You are right no schedule~
Also I bet if you are measuring yourself you will see changes in your inches when you are not losing the weight. With me it seemed to go back and forth for a while.
I wish you all the best!

hi Karen,
I have actually lost 55 pounds so far I havent updated my profile with my new weight loss yet. I guess to read how you put it it does seem like Iam doing ok its just frustrating to not see the scale move in a few weeks, but i can tell Iam losing inches because my clothes that were a little tight before are getting looser, Iam working out so I am probubly gaining muscle. I really try to eat healthy but once in awhile i will have a snack for example I will have
Breakfast: 1 egg, scrambled with shredded cheese
or sometimes a banana
or i will have 1/2 cup high protien cereal with skim milk
Lunch cottage cheese and fruit 1/ 2 cup and 1/4 cup
1/2 ham and swiss cheese sand on whole wheat
sometimes a small salad with tom, cukes maybe some chunk cheese
Dinner: try to have a protein at dinner usually eat about a 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup with some kind of vegetable,
once in awhile i will have a cookie sugarfree or regular, some times i will have a few potatoe chips but not too often because it gives me a stomach ache. I have a real hard time drinking all the water i need to get in. thanks for all your help Holly Hi Holly,
Yes...55 pounds is awesome! I'm serious when I say this: go by a MONTHLY total! Even if you're a scale addict like me, write down the total loss month to month; see if it comes to 8-14 with 10 as an average. I'm willing to bet it will.
You menu sounds perfect but I do have a few thoughts....I hope you don't mind.
1) The fruit and cottage cheese: instead of using a cup measurement...try weighing the total. At your month out, no meal should weigh more than 3-4 ounces tops. This is wht my nutritionist preached and I swear by her. Get a cheap food scale if you don't have one and toss the measuring cups. 1/2 cup doesn't always weigh 4 ounces!
2) BEWARE THE OCCASIONAL COOKIE. Sugar is a drug to us food addicts. It creeps up on us and soon one won't be enough nor will 2. Re-read the post I put up about the 10 most common mistakes.
3) If the water is difficult, try adding Crystal Light to the water bottle. I bought those individual serving thingies and when I fel I am watered-out, I add one. It makes a huge difference for some reason. Think of the water drinking as "exercise in a bottle". It helps to motivate me to get it down.
If I can offer any more help, feel free to message me and I'd be happy to talk! But mostly, keep up the great work!
Hugs,
Karen
